Tom Tom and Joe's Orange Anvil Tour

A cross-country trip commemorating and delivering Joe P. Rooney from coast to coast, it began with Joe’s reluctance to be delivered by the postal service to the West Coast. After a couple of beers an offer was made to take Joe on one last road trip across the country via motorcycle. Joe’s response was “I’m in”. Since that “I’m in”, plans have been made, motorcycle made ready and two Tom passengers have signed on for the wild ride of Joe’s final cross-country tour. You’re invited to follow along.

Update

Well, it has been a while since I've updated the blog. Thursday, we did over 360 miles, way over 600 KM.
We were so tired after arriving in Madison, we really needed a day to unwind, wash cloths, and perform routine maintenance on the Ural. I changed the oil, filter, transmission, and final drive oil. I also adjusted the rear brakes. Today, I got a ride in my uncle Paul's 1926 Lincoln. What a fantastic experience! I have some photos and video that I will post also. I feel so grateful that my uncle Paul and aunt Bonnie for having us. Tomorrow, we leave for Minnesota!
